Why NOT to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Galaxy Note 8

S8+ and S8
Picture/Camera:

Yes, the Note 8 has an all new Dual Camera, Optical Image Stabilization on BOTH lenses. We’ve now got a portrait mode, before or after the picture is taken. During a presentation, the N8 massacred the iPhone 7 concerning picture quality.

We played with live focus mode. when selecting the object you’d like to focus on, that object that you’re focused is crystal clear, however, if you’d like to switch to a regular picture the entire picture can be sharpened.

The camera is definitely a plus on this phone. We think it’s one of the best. A little late? yes, but better late than never!

Hardware:

The phone is a workhorse, with a

  • massive 6.3″ stunning display
  • auxiliary, USB-c port.
  • 6GB of RAM
  • latest from SnapDragon processors
  • water resistant (yes, even when the pen is removed)
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • expandable storage.

The pen is a key part of the note series, and it still functions beautifully.

Software:

The OS is inspired, the new “pair app” launching system that allows you to run 2 apps at once, on the same screen is beyond useful. Live texting.

Price:

From $929.99 Total
Or $38.75 /mo for 24 mos at 0% APR

So why not buy it?

One Device -> Galaxy S8+

S8+ which is beyond similar

  • .1″ smaller
  • better screen to body ratio
  • Has the curves, with a device, that big the curves make a HUGE difference
  • A bigger battery (3500 mAh vs 3300 mAh)

now for the punch line,

you can get 98% of the device for 70% of the price, yes the S8+ retails for $675, don’t believe me, check it out. That’s a $300 difference, is it really worth it, is the camera and the S-pen that important? the battery is used every single day, how often will you use portrait mode, how often will you pull out the S-pen?

let’s talk about the regular S8, it’s $575, and essentially the same price, except it’s one handed friendly.

Conclusion:

You’re paying $300 more for a camera and a pen. is it worth it to you? tell us in the comments section below.

And as always, thanks for reading. Till next time
